DND in queens

Hey, anyone wanting to run a dnd game in Queens?

Here's the situation. I got two friends, Dan and Jody, in Bayside, Queens, who can't really get out of the house. They love DnD but they have a kid, and the economy forces us all to eat PB&J more often (not that I'm complaining).

I, hailing from Woodside, Queens, also would like to play in a DnD game. I like to work closely with my GM's on rules/mechanics, and I prefer "house" games as opposed to RPGA stuff. Actually I don't touch any of the living series.

What we are looking for, is a few good GM's(or just one) who'd be willing to run a campaign in Queens, in their house or mine.

RE: A Fist Full of Spagetti with Curry and Rice

......The shot was a few feet to Habeeb's right, hitting a post.

Habeeb now in full paranoia mode, shot the short man with his blanket gun when he didn't show any surprise reaction from the shot (The other people in the street did react). Only about half of the buckshot hit the man in his abdomen and chest. The man was pleading for his life as Habeeb thought about gutting him. But the survival instinct hit as he flattened himself along the front wall at Trimble's Bakery.

No more shots were fired, as Pete came running to see what all the fuss was about. Disarming the wounded man and having him sent to Doc Merrick. After a quick and painful interrogation while taking the long way to the doctor, Pete and Habeeb decided to skirt along in the woods outside of town to the hill where the suspected sniper was hidden. Billy Sherman in an unusally sober moment tagged along in case his doctoring skills were needed.

Taking a few hours, the small group reached the hill top and searched for clues. It was during that time that Billy noticed several figures were following at a distance from town. Billy told Pete and Habeeb. Pete fearing an ambush wanted to circle back and go after them, but Habeeb said, "No, I think they were the same ones on the rooftops a few nights back. If they wanted to kill us, we would already be dead."

"Are you sure?" replied Pete.

"Very much. These are hunters and we are the bait."

Billy interjected, "I need a drink" and took a swig from his flask.

Pete during this time had found where the sniper had setup. He had seen two pairs of tracks lead down to a tree on the farside where horse hoof prints were spotted. The group followed the hoof prints down to the main road where Pete noticed that they joined up with at least four more and headed south.

Seeing that it was getting late into the afternoon, the trio headed back to Lazarus to find Tuco and plan their next move. Well at least Pete and Habeeb did. Billy went off again to go drinking and whoring.

Miles away, El Toro Diablo was not happy. He hoped that one of the murderers of his family would have been taken down by the sniper shot. He knew that The Apple Dumpling Gang was in town and that the female death squad portion of the gang would be waiting for him.

Well he had a plan alright, he just needed the cattle drive that is inbound towards Lazarus to be in the right spot before he takes action. Then he'll wreck the town and get his revenge.
Thank you to everyone who played my game. Steve, you were great with the advice. I have to remember, san checks, san checks, san checks. Not to mention more descriptive. Got it. Hope everyone had fun, or were at least amused. Running a con game is so different and weird for me. I really felt like I was railroading, thank you for the reassurance.

RE: Another New Store in Nassau (Mineola)

I just visited The Game Table and can confirm that it is indeed a very nice place, with a good selection of games ranging from board games through card games and RPGs to electronic games.

They have a playing space in the basement with room for two large (8 players or so) RPGs or three to four three/four player areas.

Dave, the owner, seems very keen and knowledgeable, and has many plans for how he will be reaching out into the gaming community to widen his appeal and provide for their wants and needs.

Colour me impressed. Impressed enough to want to run a Call of Cthulhu game there yesterday. As it stands I left it that we would poll the clientelle and see how many people would like to try it out, and if we can get four to six then we'll set it up.

If you are in the area I recommend you put your head round the door and check it out for yourself.
